David Whyte: Live in San Francisco

When award-winning filmmaker Scott Garen first approached us about the possibility of doing a documentary on David's life and work, we were less than encouraging. David is busy, we told him, and committing to a long-term project may not be possible. But Scott is not one to retreat at the first - or sixth or seventh - hint of resistance, and for this, as well as his consummate skill in the art of filmmaking, we are very grateful. The documentary is still in progress, but in the meantime, he directed and co-produced our first DVD: a talk given in San Francisco's historic Herbst Theater in May of 2009. Its production quality is top notch, its content engaging and thought-provoking. But don't take our word for it; watch the clip below.
